This week has been very busy again in the world of Hannah's Buns. I have been in the kitchen all week it seems but I'm not complaining its great fun. I was asked by a lady if I would like to have a stall at a wonderful event she was holding to raise money for a lung cancer charity. The event went really well as was very busy. I gave some cakes in to the raffle and sold many cupcakes, mini Christmas cakes and cake pops. I have the pictures to show you below. Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you find it interesting.

Hey! This was just me having a little fun trying out new things. I have made two Christmas cakes and turned them into presents. I wanted to make it really colourful and fun. The children really liked this one but maybe if I do it again I might add a Christmas teddy bear or something like that. Thanks for taking a look at my blog :)
Another week with Hannah's Buns in the salons, and this week I have made pink vanilla cupcakes topped with vanilla butter cream and handmade shoes, handbags, roses and bracelets. I wanted to go for something pretty this week as the last two weeks have been taken up with halloween and bonfire night themed cakes. So here they are for you to see.

Hey Guys, Today I made chocolate plastique. To be honest I have made this before but not for a long time so I gave it a go again. I actually made my Christmas puddings out of it the other day for my Christmas mini chocolate cakes. It is really easy to make and you can buy it from cake decorating shops but if you know me by now that's far too lazy. So I like to make my own and here is a rose I made out of it. I have also put a picture of my little boy Jamie and his amazing rose he made with me too.
8oz Dark Chocolate
4 tbsp Corn Syrup
Melt the chocolate without burning it.
Heat up the corn syrup.
Then mix the syrup into the chocolate mix until it comes together.
Wrap in clingfilm and rest in the fridge for at least an hour.
Knead well before using. (If the plastique is too hard, soften in microwave for 5 seconds)

I had a gentleman phone me up the other day and asked me if I could make a cake the shape of a ramp for a mans 21st birthday. The man was interested in BMX biking so I made a few figures to go on top. I made the sides look like brick covered the board with grass and paving stones. Once I had done that I used my air brush machine to graffiti the cake to make it look like a reall skateboarding ramp. The man told me that he had some bikes to go on the cake. Hope you like my cake and I myself love the figures I think they are getting better every time. I am really happy with this cake and thank you for taking the time to look at them.

Hey! I said I would put more of these mini cakes on and here they are. I made these vanilla cakes covered with butter cream and then made my own rolled patterned fondant to go on top. I think these cakes are so pretty ideal for a wedding or any celebration. Love to know your thoughts on them and thanks for reading again x
These are so sweet and I hope you think so too. I love iced fingers from the bakery so I wanted to make some myself for one of my salons. I normally do them cupcakes but we wanted to have a change so I needed them to still fit on the cupcake stand and be easy for customers to eat. So I have made them small and sweet and placed them in a cupcake case for pleasurable eating. Here they are guys and thanks for taking a look :)

Hey Guys, This is one cake I was pretty scared about making. Most of my cakes are pretty simple shapes with figures on top. When a lady phoned me the other day and asked me to make a cake that looked like a can of Carlsberg I did think to myself (How??) but I got through it and here it is. I decided to make a drunk lady leaning on the cake with a few shattered cans of carlsberg around her. Hope you like the pictures.

Hey Guys, This cake is one of my most favourite cakes i have done so far. I am so pleased with how it turned out. A lady emailed me a while ago telling me she found my website on google and she thought my cakes were amazing. It was going to be her mother and fathers 50th wedding anniversary and she wanted me to make a fruit cake for them with my cartoon figures on top. I asked the lady to send me a picture of her parents and asked what they liked to do. She told me they loved their garden and that her father had grown sweet peas before. So this was what gave me the idea for the garden cake. Here are the pictures and I hope you love the cake as much as I do. Thanks for checking out my blog :)
